This year, the Prime Minister’s International Business Awards (PMIBA) will be in its 33 year since 1992. The 2025 PMIBA theme is “Navigating Global Winds: Resilience, Innovation, and Sustainable Growth”. It reflects the necessity for resilience in the face of a shifting global economic landscape, recognizing the strength of Fijian enterprises in overcoming challenges and emerging stronger. The emphasis on innovation highlights the critical role of fresh ideas, technologies, and forward-thinking approaches in enhancing competitiveness on the international stage. Sustainable growth reinforces the global movement toward environmentally and socially responsible business practices—an area of growing importance for Fiji, as seen in the 2024 theme. The phrase “Navigating Global Winds” acknowledges the interconnected nature of Fiji’s economy with global markets and the importance of adaptability in responding to international trends and disruptions. Building on the previous year’s theme of “Business Innovation and Sustainability,” this 2025 theme adds the vital dimension of resilience, offering a comprehensive framework for fostering dynamic, responsible, and future-ready businesses in Fiji.
